Rye Patch Gold Corporation (TSX-V: RPM) (OTCQX: RPMGX) is a Nevada-based gold exploration company with projects along the Oreana Trend and Battle Mtn-Eureka Trend. SNNLive caught up with CEO Bill Howald of Rye Patch Gold Corporation at the New Orleans Investment Conference 2011.

Based out of Vancouver, the company’s assets are located in Nevada, which, “currently produces 78% of U.S. goldand 8% worldwide“, according to their website. Rye Patch’s latest drill program at the Garden Gate Pass Project is on a segment of the “Battle Mtn.-Eureka Trend” called the “Cortez Trend”. The discovery of Carlin-type gold systems have been recently discovered approximately 14 kilometers north of the Garden Gate Pass Project, and as Bill states, “since 1991 over 40 Million Ounces of Gold Discovered, Mined and Processed, mainly in pipeline and cortez hill deposits”.

Currently, Rye Patch has drills, or “truth machines” set up at their Garden Gate Pass and Lincoln Hill projects. According to their most recent 43-101, Mr. Howald reported, “1.2 million ounces of gold equivalent in measured and indicated category and 2.8 million ounces gold equivalent in the inferred category”. Bill concludes by stating what’s next for Rye Patch 2012; the company will be doing, “43-101 update in Q1, new resource estimate for Wilco Property in Q1, and new one for Lincoln Hill in Q2″.
