Esperanza Resources is (EPZ.V: TSX-V) (ESPZF: OTCQX) is an advanced-stage precious minerals exploration company located in Mexico. The company was started in 2002 after their geologists discovered two gold projects: Cerro Jumil in Mexico and the recently sold San Luis project.
SNNLive met with Bill Pincus, CEO of Esperanza Resources at the New Orleans Investment Conference 2011. As Mr. Pincus states in the interview, he started off as an, “exploration geologist, 15 years in the field”, and then, “transitioned into business”, where he got is degree in mineral economics.
After selling their San Luis Project to Silver Standard, the company is focused on developing their Cerro Jumil gold project in Mexico that he calls, “a low tech, low cost, fairly simple operation”. Mr. Pincus explains that they have, “50,000 meters drilled completed, 43-101 compliant resource. Right now we are at about 1.2 million ounces, and as we continue to drill, we have 10 different targets identified”.
