Fission Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: FCU) (OTCQX: FCUUF) is a Canadian-based uranium exploration company operating in Canada's Athabasca Basin, home to the world's richest source of high-grade uranium. The Company was spun-out to the shareholders of Fission Energy Corp, after Fission Energy was acquired by Denison Mines Corp. in February, 2013.
In December 2013, Fission Uranium consolidated 100% ownership of the PLS Property, where an exciting high-grade uranium discovery was made in 2012, by acquiring all of the outstanding shares of Alpha Minerals Inc. The PLS Property, which now comprises seventeen mineral claims totaling 31,309 ha, is Fission Uranium’s sole property asset. SNNLive spoke with Dev Randhawa, Chairman and CEO of Fission Uranium Corp. at the Sprott Natural Resource Symposium 2014 in Vancouver, BC.
“We own 100% of a project called PLS up in Saskatchewan and we’re totally focused in uranium. Some call it the best discovery in forty years where we’ve got high-grade uranium but open potable deposit,” begins Mr. Randhawa. He continues, “We’ve got about 160 holes in the project, we will do our 43-101 this fall, you need about 200 holes when you’re in the Athabasca, it’s a fairly high grade, you got to get enough information so they can do it right.” For more information, check out their website at www.fissionuranium.com
