SMTP, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMTP) was one of the early pioneers of cloud-based email services and has grown over the last decade to provide a wide range of products and services on a global basis. The company is a NASDAQ-listed provider of services ranging from sophisticated marketing automation to cost-effective email infrastructure and relay services. The company operates on a global basis, with local sales offices in 14 geographic areas worldwide, spanning six continents and serving well over 100 countries in 13 languages. SNNLive spoke with Jonathan Strimling, CEO of SMTP, Inc. at the LD Micro "Main Event" 2014 in Bel Air, CA.
Mr. Strimling begins with an overview of the company, “SMTP is a profitable public company in the email space that has a long history of profitable operations, just made two transformative acquisitions.” He continues, “Historically, the business has been in the email delivery business, in the same sense you might call FedEx to make sure that a package got to a home, our customers have called us to make sure that their email gets delivered to the intended recipient.”
He discusses how email will be delivered to recipients through using STMP, “We send billions of emails and as a company we’re a trusted sender, so the ISPs trust us because we’re selective about who we let onto our platform and what the messages are. So when they might not be able to get a message through themselves, we can get it through for them. In addition, we work with them proactively to protect their reputation as a sender. So if we see something that’s a warning sign on our side, we’ll let the sender know.” For more information, check out their website: www.SMTP.com
