The Company has established gold and silver resource milestones and time frames in order to build a premier resource development company. SNNLive spoke with Bill Howald, CEO & President of Rye Patch Gold Corp. at the New Orleans Investment Conference 2014.
Mr. Howald begins with an overview of the company, “There’s really three value buckets within Rye Patch Gold. The first one is, we got a resource area, we just finished a preliminary economic assessment. The economic assessment was very robust, it looks like this thing has a good chance of being a mine and we’re quite excited by it in that we also have some upside potential around it that we’re drilling out as we speak. The next value bucket is really the tremendous upside potential we have along the Cortez Trend here, you know this is really an area of world-class exploration and we’re right in the midst of a new discovery with Barrick to the north of us and we’re trying to see if that discovery comes onto our ground so that’s very exciting. And the third thing and the thing that’s really a kind of the driver behind all this is we have a cash flowing royalty from an operating silver mine, the Rochester silver mine.Your audience might remember at one point we were in a dispute over some land around Rochester - that dispute was settled, and the outcome of that gives us cash flow; we're actually positive cash flow for the year, and so it gives us progress without dilution to shareholders."

He goes on to explain that one interesting similarity in microcap exploration companies is that, “they’re cost centers, they’re not profit centers, so you know as I said we’re in this envious position where we actually have cash flow.”

On 2015, Mr. Howald states, "Well, we, as I said, we just put out our preliminary economic assessment. We're working on some projects near by - really, they're just be add-ons or expansions to that resource and to that economic assessment of the project. We want to continue to advance that project. As you probably know, we're in and amongst a lot of operating mines, so we really see that there is an opportunity for us to partner or get a strategic partner, and if need be, we'll put this thing into production ourselves."
