Eyal Baror, CEO Neuronix Ltd. “New Hope for Alzheimer’s Disease” Video Interview at BioInvest Israel 2012

Neuronix’s mission is to introduce new methods for modifying the course of treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease to offer hope and long-term improvement in patients’ quality of life. SNNLive spoke to Neuronix’s CEO, Eyal Baror, at the 2012 BioInvest Israel Conference in Haifa. Mr. Baror has over a decade of experience in R&D and in executive-level positions in several medical devices companies. A graduate of the prestigious Israel Defense Force’s Talpiot program, he holds a B.Sc. in Physics (cum-laude) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and an M.Sc. in Physics(summa cum laude) from Tel-Aviv University.

In this interview, Mr. Baror discusses Neuronix’s work on Alzheimer’s disease, and the technology they have developed to treat it. “We non-invasively stimulate brain region affected by Alzheimer’s disease using a special technique called electromagnetic stimulation. And while these regions are being stimulated, we also make the patient use cognitive functions that are related to those regions.” Neuronix has found that their treatment is able to turn back the Alzheimer’s clock by as much as two years, and that the results persist for as long as two years going forward.

Mr. Baror says that the results of clinical testing have been excellent. “We have this system, and wehave tested it twice already in two clinical trials in Israel with great results, much better than what’s currently available with the medications approved today for Alzheimer’s, and we also had a trial with great results in Harvard Medical School in Boston, which was able to show not only the cognitive improvement, but also the changes in the brain in MRI studies before and after the intervention.” To learn more about Neuronix, visit their website.
