This is a very important area of focus today as regenerative medicine offers both cures and treatments and also creates jobs, an added plus.  If you have followed any of the news in this area you may be aware of organs being grown in labs, etc.  Diabetes is a huge area of focus for regenerative medicine with stem cells and other types of emerging treatments.  Foot ulcers for diabetics is one example of how regenerative medicine is work in progress and saves patients from amputations.
