The Mercenary Geologist, Michael S. “Mickey” Fulp, is a certified professional geologist witha B.Sc. Earth Sciences with honor from the University of Tulsa, and an M.Sc. Geology from the University of New Mexico. Mickey has over thirty years’ experience as an exploration geologist searching for economic deposits of base and precious metals, industrial minerals, coal, uranium, oil and gas, and water in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. SNNLive spoke to Mr. Fulp at the 2012 Cambridge House Resource Conference in Palm Springs, California.

In this interview Mr. Fulp talks about the topic of his keynote presentation at Cambridge House, “Bull Market Fundamentals of Copper, Gold, and Uranium.” “It’s all about supply and demand fundamentals,” he says. “We are using more of these metals than we are mining on a yearly basis. Not only that, but finding—and that’s very important. We are not finding. We are not replacing reserves. Mining companies are producing more than they are finding.” He goes on to discuss the differences among industrial metals (like copper), energy metals (like uranium), and precious metals (like gold).
